FLUX

TERMS OF USE · EFFECTIVE 16 OCTOBER 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of FLUX ("we", "us" and "our"). They cover the FLUX game for iPhone and iPad, this website, and any message you send us (together, "FLUX"). By downloading, playing or otherwise using FLUX, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use FLUX.

FLUX is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which you accepted when you downloaded it. That agreement governs your licence to the app, and these terms add FLUX's own. If the two ever differ about your licence to the app, Apple's agreement controls.

In short: play fair, keep FLUX for your own enjoyment, read the flashing-lights warning, and know that FLUX is provided as it is. FLUX is free and sells nothing. From version 1.4 it shows ads: a banner while you play, kept clear of the board, and full-screen ads only between runs and levels or when you choose one (Ads, below). If a later version adds purchases or subscriptions, the rules for them are below, and these terms will be updated before that version.

Who may use FLUX

FLUX is a puzzle game for a general audience. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them on your behalf. A parent or guardian is responsible for a child's use of FLUX, including anything bought on the child's device. Apple's Family Sharing, Ask to Buy and Screen Time let a parent control downloads, purchases and time.

You may not use FLUX where the law forbids it, including where United States sanctions or export rules prohibit it. By using FLUX you confirm that you are not in a country under a United States embargo and are not on a United States list of restricted parties.

Your licence

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use FLUX for your own non-commercial enjoyment, on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's agreement allows. Unless the law allows it despite these terms, you may not:

Fair play

FLUX's leaderboard is Apple's Game Center. Please post only scores you earned by playing FLUX as it comes from the App Store. These are not allowed:

If we believe a score was not earned fairly, we may ask Apple to remove it, as Game Center's own rules allow. Game Center is Apple's, under Apple's terms.

Health and safety: flashing lights

FLUX has quick flashes of light as blocks pop and fall. A very small number of people can have a seizure when they see flashing lights or patterns, even if they have never had one before. FLUX is designed to keep its flashes few, but if you or anyone in your family has had seizures or epilepsy, ask a doctor before playing.

Stop playing at once if you feel dizzy or unwell, or have blurred vision, eye or muscle twitches, a loss of awareness, confusion or any movement you cannot control, and see a doctor if it does not pass. A parent or guardian should watch for these signs in children who play.

To make FLUX calmer, turn on Dim Flashing Lights in your iPhone's or iPad's Settings (under Accessibility), and turn EFFECTS off in FLUX's Settings. Play in a well-lit room, not too close to the screen, and take breaks.

From version 1.4, FLUX shows ads made by other companies, and FLUX cannot check each one for flashing light. With Dim Flashing Lights on, FLUX shows no ads. If an ad flashes or troubles you, close it, and report it through ADS in FLUX's Settings.

FLUX is a game, for entertainment. Nothing in it is medical, health or professional advice.

Your progress

In this version your progress is kept only on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. We have no copy of it, so we cannot restore progress that is lost, whether the app was deleted or the device was lost, reset or replaced without a backup. Your device's own backups (to iCloud or a computer) may include it, by your backup settings. What FLUX does with information is in the privacy policy.

Purchases, subscriptions and virtual items

FLUX sells nothing: no purchases and no subscriptions, and every look in LOCKER is free (version 1.4's ads cost you nothing: Ads, below). If a version of FLUX offers anything for money, these rules apply to it:

Ads

From version 1.4, FLUX shows ads: a banner at the bottom of the screen while you play a run or a level, kept clear of the board; a full-screen ad after each ADVENTURE level you pass from JUPITER (the third planet) on, and now and then when you finish a run; and ads you choose to watch for a reward. A full-screen ad never comes during a run or a level unless you choose one. Versions before 1.4 show none. The ads are served by Google AdMob and made by other companies. They are never personalized, and they are rated for all ages; what Google receives to load and show them is in the privacy policy.

We do not make, choose one by one or endorse the ads, or what they offer, and anything you do with an advertiser, such as tapping an ad, buying from it or signing up, is between you and that advertiser, under its terms. A full-screen ad can be closed with its own close button. If an ad is wrong for FLUX, misleading or troubling, report it through ADS in FLUX's Settings, or by email (Contact, below), and we will block it where we can. Please do not tap ads you are not interested in, or make anyone or anything tap them: that is ad fraud, and it can get ads taken away from FLUX for everyone.

Ads you choose to watch for a reward (one more hint once yours are gone, or a BIG BANG power piece) are always optional: FLUX says what you get before the ad, and the reward comes only once the ad has played to its end. How many a run or a level allows is the game's to set and may change. A reward is part of the game only: it has no value outside FLUX, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money or anything else.

Other companies' services and links

Parts of FLUX are other companies' services: Apple's App Store, Game Center and its rating, age-range and parent's-permission screens, Google AdMob for the ads (from version 1.4), and, only if you say yes, Aptabase for the anonymous game stats (see the privacy policy). Each is under its owner's own terms and privacy policy. FLUX and this website also link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices; using them is at your own risk.

The game changes, and may end

FLUX's updates may add, change or remove levels, rules, looks, features, ads and purchases at any time. FLUX or this website may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and an update may be needed to keep playing. We may stop offering FLUX, or any part of it, at any time, as the law allows. A look offered for a limited time stops being offered when its time ends. HALLOWEEN can be got only in October 2026, from 1 October until midnight at the end of 31 October by your device's clock, and once you have it, it is yours to keep, as the game says.

Ending these terms

You may stop using FLUX at any time by deleting it. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence to use FLUX ends, and we may take reasonable steps to stop the misuse. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last after they end (among them the licence's limits, our work, no warranties, limits on liability, indemnity and disagreements) keep applying.

Our rights and your ideas

We keep every right we have in FLUX, including its art, music, sounds, characters, levels, code and words, as far as the law allows. You have only the licence that Apple's agreement and these terms give you, and its limits apply to every part of FLUX.

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, thank you. You are free to send them, and we are free to use them, in FLUX or elsewhere, without paying you or keeping them confidential. Please do not send ideas you want to keep private. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information either.

If you believe something in FLUX or on this website uses your work without permission, email chat@fluxsupports.com with "Copyright" in the subject. Please include the work you believe is used, where it appears in FLUX, how to reach you, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised and that your information is accurate. We will look into it promptly.

No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, FLUX is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults, and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that FLUX will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors or harmful components, that it will work on every device, that it will meet your expectations, or that your progress will never be lost. You use FLUX at your own risk. Apple's agreement says the same for Apple and the app.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor anyone who works with us on FLUX will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, profits, goodwill or enjoyment, arising out of or in connection with FLUX or these terms, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if we were told such loss was possible. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with FLUX or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for FLUX, including anything bought in it, in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (US$50).

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded, or takes away any right you have by law that cannot be waived. Where the law allows a limit but not this one, the limit is the smallest the law allows.

Your responsibility

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that we or anyone who works with us on FLUX suffer from any claim by someone else that arises from your breaking these terms or the law in using FLUX. We will tell you about any such claim, and we may control its defence.

If we disagree

Most problems can be solved by talking. Before starting any formal claim about FLUX or these terms, please email chat@fluxsupports.com with "Dispute" in the subject, your name, how to reach you, what happened, and what you would like us to do; we will do the same before any claim against you. Both of us will then try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days. Any time limit for bringing the claim is paused during those 60 days. After them, either of us may go on with the claim. Either of us may also bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has the power to hear it.

If you live in New Jersey or California

New Jersey: if a part of these terms (for example in No warranties, Limits on liability or Your responsibility) is not enforceable under New Jersey law, it does not apply to you, and the rest of these terms still does. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the New Jersey Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act, and the limits on liability do not apply where a statute requires attorneys' fees, court costs or other damages.

California: for a question or a complaint about FLUX, email chat@fluxsupports.com. You may also contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (916) 445-1254 or (800) 952-5210.

Apple's role

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for FLUX and its content, for its maintenance and support, and for answering any claim about it, including any claim that it breaks a law or someone's rights, to the extent these terms and the law do not exclude that responsibility. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to your licence of FLUX, and may enforce them against you.

General terms

Changes

These terms may change, for example when a later version adds features or purchases, or changes its ads. If they do, this page will change first, with a new date, and a change that matters will be pointed out, for example in the game's WHAT'S NEW. Continuing to use FLUX after the new date means you accept the new terms, as far as the law allows; if you do not accept them, please stop using FLUX. A change does not apply to a disagreement that had already begun.
